Standing in the initial position, the dantzari has to draw circles on the floor with his foot. The dancer begins to draw using the side of the foot that remains and, stretching out the ankle and the tip of the foot, he then moves the foot outwards. The circles have to be as big as possible and have to be made without bending the knees. The greatest number of wheels possible have to be made during the piece of music chosen to perform the ground rings, which means that the dantzari has to made the rings quickly without loosing his balance.
The ground rings are made either with the right or left foot.
The ground rings that are shown in the video are designed to be exercises to learn to perform them quickly.
